Glossier Cloud Paint (link gives you 20% off your order!)
Cloud paint. What is it??? It’s Glossier’s newest product release – a seamless cheek color with a gel-cream formula. I’m so excited that Glossier finally released blushes! These shades and the product as a whole were inspired by NYC sunsets, which I love. The colors in sunrises and sunsets are some of my favorite colors in the world. Cloud Paint Shades (as described by Glossier)
Haze: a berry shade that provides the perfect post-workout flush
Puff: a light, cool pink that creates a healthy brightening effect
Dusk: a brownish nude that warms skin and adds definition
Beam: a coral-peach shade that gives skin an energized glow
I knew from the start that I was going to love Haze but I was honestly a little hesitant about the rest of the shades. I tried them all on yesterday though and ended up loving every single color?!? I was very surprised about Beam because I never thought I would be able to pull off peach. One thing I love about Glossier is that they consistently release shades that are flattering on all skin tones.
The formula, described as a gel-cream, is quite watery in consistency. There’s no need for brushes or tools – all you need to use are your fingers to dab it onto your cheeks. The color starts off pretty sheer but is buildable and blends very easily into the skin. After the color dries, it is extremely long lasting. Usually by mid-afternoon, my blush is gone (I usually use powder blush) but this lasted throughout the entire day!!
Ingredients wise, Cloud Paint contains collagen, which hydrates and plumps the skin with moisture, which is perfect for cheeks. Streakiness is sometimes a problem with liquid or cream blushes but Cloud Paint contains blurring powders which helps the blush better blend into the skin for a more even application.
Each tube is 0.33 fl. oz / 10 mL. I only need/use a tiny dot each time so these will last forever.
I have to say, Glossier always hits the mark with packaging. I’ve always loved the look of paint tubes and whenever I used my watercolor tubes when I was younger, I always thought they would be really cute packaging for makeup!! I guess my dream came true with these Cloud Paints.
Overall, the shades are very versatile, the application is easy and the formula is long lasting. Glossier Cloud Paint is definitely a win in my book. I’ve always been a powder blush kind of girl and this was my first time using a liquid/cream blush. I kind of wish I discovered cream blushes earlier because they are so much better?!? The finish of cream blushes is more dewy and they last a lot longer than powder blushes.
That’s all for my Glossier Cloud Paint review. I hope the review and swatches were helpful for those of you who are thinking about purchasing these! If I had to choose two favorites, I would select Haze and Dusk, although it honestly all just depends on your skin tone and personal preference.
