I have accumulated a little collection of perfume samples over the years. Two of my most frequently asked questions are where do you get perfume samples and how do you store them? I thought I would make this guide to perfume samples post to explain how I collect and store these little vials!
Where To Get Perfume Samples
Sephora is my go-to spot for samples! You get three free samples with every online order and there are always perfume selections available. There are also always mini perfumes available either as a gift with purchase or as a loyalty program reward that you can redeem your points for.
Sephora also has a monthly subscription box called Sephora Play and every box includes a perfume sample. While there are many other subscription boxes out there like Birchbox or Ipsy, Sephora Play is my favorite one.
Similar to Sephora, Nordstrom also offers three free samples with every online beauty order. The samples at Nordstrom are a bit higher end than at Sephora. This is how I got my Le Labo sample!
My Byredo samples are all from the Byredo website or the store itself. With any online order, Byredo includes two free perfume samples. The sales associates at the store are also very generous with giving samples! I’ve gotten a ton of Byredo samples from a gift bag from their 10th anniversary party. I have to say, Byredo makes some of my all time favorite samples. I even included them in my Beauty Samples With the Best Packaging post.
This is another option but personally one that I have never used. Often times, people sell perfume samples in huge lots so you can buy 50 at a time for a pretty cheap price. The only downside of this is that it’s hard to guarantee quality and authenticity so I would recommend sticking to getting samples directly from brands or retailers.
How to Store Perfume Samples
I store my perfume samples in clear acrylic Muji containers. I store all of my samples in the five drawer one because the drawers are all very shallow and the perfect depth to fit samples. If you’re looking for something more budget friendly, this acrylic container is also a good option. I like storing my perfume samples in clear cases because it’s always fun to be able to see them all! Perfume vials are too cute to be hidden away.
I write quite a bit about beauty samples and if you’re interested, you can view more posts about samples here!
