In December, a bunch of my friends and I went on a short weekend getaway to Killington, Vermont! We rented out a cute little cabin house and drove up from New York City. Read more about our skiing adventures below:

Vermont is so lovely! It snowed while we were there so it felt like the inside of a snow globe. Our rental had a beautiful view of the snow dusted trees.

Gearing up for a day on the ski slopes! Before we arrived at the cabin, we stocked up on groceries at a nearby Aldi. We were well stocked with food.

It’s been years since I last skied. I didn’t want to buy ski gear that I would only use once so I used sunglasses as ski goggles and wore my mom’s winter jacket…hence the outfit, haha.

At the ski resort, the green slopes were unfortunately all closed so it was either the bunny slope of the blue slope. After many trips down the bunny slope, we decided to try out the blue slope. It was SO HARD. It’s only supposed to take 15 minutes to ski down to the bottom but it took us basically an hour because everyone kept falling.

Once we were on the slope, I regretted not being equipped with ski goggles because the snow was brutal. Not gonna lie, skiing stresses me out because I hate going fast. I’m that person going down the slope at a snail pace.

Some of my friends took a cooking class at NYU so for dinner, they made the best fried chicken. SO. GOOD. The perfect meal after a day of skiing.

I’m trying to document my travels and trips more. It’s fun to look back on the posts, kind of like an online scrapbook. Overall, it was a very fun weekend filled with people falling off cliffs. I had an essay due at 11:59 pm the night we were driving back so I was writing the entire car ride back. It was worth it! So fun.
