Today NYC was covered with snow so school was canceled! There’s something quite exciting about the city being covered in a blanket of snowflakes. My friends and I ventured out to go on some snow day adventures. Read more below:
Washington Square Park is one of my favorite spots to visit when it snows. There are so many dogs playing and people having snow ball fights and building snow mans. I love it!
I met up with my friend Arlina at La Colombe to get some work done.
We’re taking a photography class right now for our studio art minors so we took a couple practice shots. The lighting was great because of the snow outside, which acted, in a sort of way, as a reflector.
I also got some photo editing done for upcoming blog posts. Really excited about a couple future projects in the works.
Afterwards, my friend Tiff and I stopped by City Bakery to try their famous hot chocolate. The huge marshmallows are made at the bakery!
February is the City Bakery’s Hot Chocolate Festival so every day there is a different flavor. The flavor of the day today was “Darkest Dark Hot Chocolate #1.”
The hot chocolate is soooo rich and creamy. We got two cups, but you can honestly split one with two people because they’re pretty large. I will say, though, the hot chocolate is quite pricey. Expect to pay around $7 for each cup. (I believe the hot chocolate is around $5 and the marshmallow is $2 extra.)
Cheers to a great snow day! Hope everyone had a lovely Thursday. (:
