One of my goals lately has been to wake up earlier. I’ve been waking up at around 5:30 am in the mornings and it’s completely changed my day! Part of being able to wake up early means sleeping early and the best way to do that is with a consistent bedtime routine. Read more for my complete evening skincare routine and see how I prep for a great night’s sleep.
The first step in my bedtime routine is to take my OLLY Nutrition Beauty Sleep gummies. Beauty Sleep is described as a gentle sleep blend with beauty-boosting hydration to help you wake up looking and feeling refreshed. It also doesn’t hurt that they taste *so* good, like a blend of blueberries and plum.
You might be wondering, how does it work, exactly? Beauty Sleep contains Melatonin and L-Theanine, which help promote sleep without grogginess. Ceramides support the skin’s moisture barrier and hydrate from within. Chamomile, passionflower and lemon balm soothe and relax the body. I’ve been taking these gummies every night and have noticed that I’ve been waking up with plump, healthy, hydrated skin. Seriously makes a big difference!
After I take the OLLY Nutrition supplements, I floss and brush my teeth. I also pretty much always double cleanse, first with an oil cleanser followed by a gel cleanser. After cleanser is toner, which has really changed the game for me. I’ve been using a toner from Skinsei that’s customized for my exact skin type.
One of my favorite rituals after that is to face roll. I first apply a serum and then use the Mount Lai Amethyst Facial Roller over my skin. It helps reduce puffiness and allows the product to absorb better into the skin. Amethyst also has great stress-relieving properties so it’s a great way to unwind. The last step of my skincare routine is to seal it all in with an eye cream and the Good Science Beauty Purifying Face Cream. Sometimes if I have breakouts or pimples, I’ll also apply some acne spot treatment.
Most people don’t know that I wear night contacts that shape my eyes (the cornea) while I sleep. When I take out my contacts in the morning, I have pretty much 20/20 vision. After I finish my skincare routine, I usually pop in my contacts, read for 15-20 minutes every night and drink half a cup of water. By the end of my reading, the OLLY Beauty Sleep has done its job and I’m super relaxed and ready to sleep. Sweet dreams!
